Has anyone ever played...

...Legend of Mana? I am on SUCH an LoM kick right now! I finally found a quality english scanslation on the net and I'm SOOOOOOOO friggin happy! I was up past 3 last night reading it.

Man, Elazul...he was the first guy I ever fangirled over. I got this munny the other day, I'm thinking of making it into Elazul. Or Jin from Samurai Champloo. Or Demyx.

But anyway...now has anyone played Dawn of Mana? I got that game a while back, but I got stuck at this one part early on and never came back to it. So I started it over last weekend and good god is that game horrible! Like, I keep waiting for the real game to start. All you do is run around and kill things. No mazes, no puzzles, no items, no sidequests - oh, and get this: the game is divided into chapters, and at the start of each chapter you loose all spells, abilities, and powerups obtained in the previous chapter and start back at square one! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!!?? I'll say more about it once I beat it but I don't think it'll get any better. It just makes me want to play good old LoM.

Oh, and the LoM millennium edition with the Jumi music box was back on ebay the other day...but it was like $65 plus lots of shipping. Arg! That and the elusive art book are like holy grails...

Ah memories.

Great game. Well, never really cared about the story, I just loved the graphics and gameplay in it...

Ah yes,when Squaresoft was stil independend and made good games...

i LOVED LoM! it.... so beautiful, the story so fantastic! my cousin will NEVER get that game back from me hahaha. OMG! dawn of mana was sooo dissapointing. I got thru two or so chapters before i said "ENOUGH!" the losing your levels was HORRIBLE! you got some awesome powers at level 5. I still have yet to even go thru secret of mana 1 or 2 even once. Children of mana was alright (not awesome like SoM/LoM, but not as bad as DoM) I recommend Magical Station if you haven't played it yet. It was originally a Gameboy game that they ported to the DS and FINALLY brought over. I havent beaten it yet, (got too frustrated at this one area) But i want to play it again.

Oh, isn't Magical Station something about a wizard school? Or was that Magical Vacation or something? I think I remember seeing art from that on the brownie brown website forever ago.

Secret of Mana isn't that great either. Even though I cosplayed it. >_<

But besides the obvious, I loved LoM's dialogue trees and how you could take any number of routes to end up at a single conclusion.

Oh, man. I still play Legend of Mana, and fangirl over Elazul. :'D It's my and my sibling's first choice if we ever want to play a game together.

That has to be in my top five of favorite games ever.
