This pic is just returning a favor for a friend. He does some awesome poetry, go check it out:
Colored pencil...loses its subtlety in scanning. And kinko's screwed me over...it took them almost 2 hours to scan this, and then they had it set to auto-image correction so it lost some of it's warm tone. I got it almost back to normal with some photoshopping but...KINKOOOOOOS! >: (
BUT OTHER THAN THAT...I'm happy. Oh and....WHAAAALE!
Yeah! Colored pencils are so hard to scan in properly. I had to do several attempts before I got the image I was doing in! >.<
But in reference to the actual image, it's gorgeous! I love the warm, earthy tones of the image. The subtle complimentary scheme of orange and blue is a very nice touch as well!
Language, the alphabet, and grammar are simple in and of themselves; but just as the mind can be follow infinite paths, so can language be manipulated for infinite possibilities. -- That's what this scene brings to my mind.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection, neither be cynical about love. For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. -- Max Erhmann, "Desiderata"
Wow, thanks! Writing can imply any number of things based on the imagination of the reader, but art is more direct. So I'm glad I was able to convey that sense of infinite possibilities.

"Denizens of light...answer this...DO YOU LIKE WAFFLES?" "NO!!!" "Then allow me another question...DO YOU LIKE PANCAKES?" "NO!!!" "That may be...however...DO YOU LIKE FRENCH TOAST?"
Thank you! Oh, I wasn't even thinking about the fact that it was complimentary...art school is in my BRAIN!!

'When you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back...' --Nietsche(not sure I got that right)
This gives me a feeling of a multitude of ideas being put together, a story being untold while the writing tries to keep up while falling just short of the writer's ambition. In a way, it embodies the spirit of fictional writing, given a muse-like form.
Also, I tend to write stuff as well...if not take chats and form them into stories.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
